For Further Information Contact: North Palm Beach, Fl - NEFCO Density Current Baffles Delivered to ChinaNEFCO recently completed the shipment of a Density Current Baffle for the Shek Wu Hui Treatment Plant located in Hong Kong. The baffle was developed as part of a demonstration project to evaluate methods for upgrading the performance of the plant's 8 secondary clarifiers, as well as clarifiers at the several other municipal Hong Kong sewage treatment facilities. The 100 foot diameter clarifiers at the Shek Wu Hui facility are unique because of the sharp slope of the tank bottom and the tanks' shallow side walls, which posed a challenge for the designers as well as the installers. The baffle was developed by NEFCO under contract to Kingsford Environmental, Ltd. NEFCO has also delivered Density Current Baffles for two clarifiers at the Annheuser Busch Brewery in Wuhan, China.
